The Aleut Foundation is excited to announce Kyla Morris as our new Executive Director! Kyla officially joined TAF at the beginning of October this year.
Kyla Morris was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. Her parents are Denise and William Morris. Her maternal grandparents are Virginia Boies (Kochergin) from St. Paul Island, AK, and Leroy Boies from Nebraska.
Kyla was a recipient of The Aleut Foundation and graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. She obtained her master’s degree in communication and leadership from Gonzaga University.
Kyla has experience in the non-profit sector, private foundations, scholarship, and grant programs and grantmaking. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband Mike. While away from the office Kyla enjoys fishing, biking, and taking her dog, Iris, on long walks. Kyla has also been on a language-learning journey, along with her mother, studying Unangam Tunuu.
