Jenifer Samuelson Nelson
Chairman
Chairman Jenifer Samuelson-Nelson was raised in King Cove, Alaska and currently lives in Anchorage with her twin daughters.
Jenifer graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Aleut Director from 2008- Present. She held the following positions; Vice-Chair, Vice President of the Board, Secretary-Treasurer, Chair of the Shareholder Affairs Committee, and Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. Served as the Aleut shareholder representative on the Alaska Trust Board of Directors and was the Executive Director of the Aleut Foundation. She represented the Aleut International Association on the Arctic Council Task Force on Telecommunications Infrastructure in the Arctic, and the Alaska Economic Council. She is currently the Senior Community Relations Manager at GCI Communications.
Jenifer currently serves on the Board Policy and Budget and Finance Committees.
She is ex-officio on all Board Committees.
Her term expires 2026.
