The Aleut Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of two new professionals to its Regional Affairs department: Theresa Cross joins as the Senior Director of Regional Operations, and Ethan Tyler steps in as the Director of Government Affairs. These strategic hires underscore Aleut’s commitment to enhancing its regional operations and government relations, aligning with the corporation’s mission to create and develop opportunities for its shareholders.
Theresa Cross brings a proven track record in leadership and operational excellence to Aleut. As the Senior Director of Regional Operations, Theresa will partner closely with the Vice President of Regional Affairs to oversee the Grants, Lands, and Shareholders Records departments to foster departmental growth and regional development. She has been recognized with four State of Alaska Denali Peak Award nominations for Leadership, Exceptional Customer Service, Innovative Cost Savings, and Exceptional Performance. Her background and ability to thrive under pressure will contribute to Aleut’s mission of serving its shareholders with integrity and accountability.
Ethan Tyler joins Aleut as the Director of Government Affairs, bringing extensive experience in public and private sector leadership. In this role, Ethan will be responsible for developing legislative strategies, public messaging, and building relationships with government entities and private partners. Ethan’s strategic thinking and passion for the Alaska Native corporation model will drive Aleut’s government affairs strategy, ensuring that the corporation’s interests and those of its shareholders are well-represented.

In addition to the new appointments, Aleut is pleased to announce the promotion of Bethany Monfore to Director of Growth and Strategy. Bethany originally joined Aleut in 2020, and her experience at Aleut includes serving as Growth & Strategy Manager and Small Business & 8(a) Compliance Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Mandy Hawes, Bethany will lead Aleut’s growth initiatives, focusing on fostering collaboration and maximizing opportunities across subsidiaries. She will be responsible for driving Aleut’s corporate acquisition and integration strategy and consolidating and monitoring subsidiary growth metrics. Her dedication and expertise will continue to support Aleut’s strategy of disciplined, balanced growth.
