About the Adak Land Use Permit

Aleut is committed to protecting our lands and ensuring their continued use for generations to come. Aleut lands are privately-owned and Aleut’s Lands Department focuses on good stewardship of Unangax̂ lands and ensures protection of cultural and historical sites.

Aleut’s Land Use Permit program grants access to Aleut ancestral lands. Currently the Land Use Permit extends to Adak Island only. Use of Aleut lands without a permit and entering Aleut-owned buildings regardless of permit status is considered trespassing under Alaska State law.
