Congratulations to Sharon and Andronik Kashevarof Jr., who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer!
On June 8, 1973, Sharon and Andronik were married at the church on St. George Island with their family and close friends in attendance.
Their late parents are Nina and Alvin Lestenkof, and Elekonida and Andronik Kashevarof Sr. Their two sons are Constantine ‘Joe’ Kashevarof and Michael ‘Cal’ Kashevarof. Their grandchildren are Kailyn, Kayden, Josette, Kayla, and Keenan Kashevarof; great-grandchildren are Thorin, Levon, and Aurora Kashevarof.
Andronik served on multiple boards serving the Unangax̂ community, such as the St. George Tanaq Corporation, Pribilof School District, St. George Traditional Council,
and was a council member of the City of St. George. He also worked most of his life on the Pribilof’s and along the Aleutian Chain at places such as the U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA, City of St. George, St. George Tanaq Corporation, Atka Hydroelectric Project, and most recently retired from Aleut Enterprise’s Adak Fuels subsidiary.
The couple are now retired and are enjoying their time traveling, relaxing, and spending quality time with their family. Here’s to many more years!
