The Aleut Corporation is thrilled to announce that Julie Toomey will join our team as Vice President (VP) of Regional Affairs. In that role, Julie will work closely with village corporations, tribal entities, and non-profits on activities and issues impacting the Aleut Region and TAC shareholders.
Julie is no stranger to serving our shareholders and descendants. Most recently, she served as The Aleut Foundation’s (TAF) Executive Director, where she and her team expanded the portfolio of programs and the capacity of the organization. TAF’s vision is to “grow our own” and is proud that Julie was selected for this role.
Julie was born and raised in Kenai, Alaska, to Jim and Joanne Jenckes. Her maternal grandparents are Richard and Annie Mack of King Cove, AK. She is a shareholder of The Aleut Corporation and a tribal member of the Agdaaĝux̂ Tribe of King Cove. She is married to her husband of 19 years and raising four beautiful daughters.
Julie will be joining The Aleut Corporation this summer during our in-region community travel. She is looking forward to seeing our beautiful region and meeting so many of our incredible shareholders.
