Mary (Marii) Qagnax̂ Swetzof serves as a Director for Aleut, bringing her extensive experience in business management and strategic planning to support the Corporation’s mission.
A proud Unangax̂, Mary was given her Unangax̂ name, Qagnax̂, by her maternal grandmother, Clara Snigaroff of Atka, Alaska. Born and raised in Atka, she now resides in Anchorage, Alaska, and is the daughter of Michael E. Swetzof of Unalaska and Sally (Snigaroff) Swetzof of Atka.
Mary is committed to sustainable growth and enhancing shareholder value while respecting and preserving Unangax̂ cultural heritage. Her approach emphasizes transparency, accountability, and collaboration, ensuring that shareholder interests remain central in the Corporation’s strategic initiatives.
