In 2023, Aleut named Danny Parrish as Chief Financial Officer.

Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Danny Parrish’s background is a rich blend of academic and professional experience, underscored by his deep commitment to Alaska. Beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Colorado, Boulder, his career kicked off with a notable role at Deloitte & Touche in Denver, auditing the company’s Energy and Insurance practices.

In 2004, Danny returned to Alaska with his wife Danée Pontious and started his 19-year career at GCI. Starting as Manager of Financial Controls, Danny worked his way up to Senior Director of Revenue Analysis in the Strategic Management Office. During his 19-year tenure, Danny significantly contributed to GCI’s financial health and strategic direction, especially in enhancing financial processes, and establishing financial reporting.

Danny and Danée have two children and they all actively participate in a range of sports and cultural events in Anchorage. Their dedication to Alaska shines through their volunteer efforts and community engagement.
