Dear shareholders & descendants,
On behalf of the Board, I want to first give my sincere thanks to The Aleut Corporation staff for their efforts in setting up and organizing the December Shareholder Meeting and Holiday Reception, and to congratulate Millie Jackson for her service on The Aleut Foundation Board of Directors. It was great to see so many familiar faces at the event and to have the opportunity to hear from you directly.
I am thrilled to be able to promote the Qaxidax̂ Shareholder Business Directory—an avenue to spotlight the incredible artists and business owners within our shareholder community. Inspired by the resilient horned puffin, this directory is a testament to the resourcefulness, determination, and collective strength of our Unangax̂ communities. The Aleut Foundation’s Cash for Good Grades program continues to recognize and reward academic excellence among our young shareholders. Students in grades 7-12 have two chances to win $100, one for maintaining an excellent GPA of 3.5 and above and another for outstanding attendance (90% and above). The next deadline is July 10. We encourage all students to submit their report cards to TAF to participate.
As a reminder, our Stock Will Drive will conclude on March 31, 2024. Submit your stock will before the deadline to receive $50. I am pleased to share that TAC has received over 450 new or updated stock wills since the Drive was launched last year! Preserving your legacy is one of your responsibilities as a shareholder – if you haven’t already, now is the time to act. You’ll find more information on completing a stock will on our website here.
I’d like to take a moment to recognize Angela Bourdukofsky, TAC’s Director of Shareholder Relations. Angela celebrated 25 years at The Aleut Corporation! She has been instrumental in shaping the Shareholder Relations department over the years (decades!) and serving our Unangax̂ community. We are so grateful for her passion, dedication, and commitment. Thank you, Angela, for a wonderful 25 years!
